“We examined our lives and discovered who we really are. To be truly humble is to accept and honestly try to be ourselves.”

Humility is a big part of my program these days. I am by nature very prideful and I know it is holding
Me back. I read the words of Andrew Muuray that Dr. Bob had on his
    Desk every day:
    Humility
“It is to have no trouble. It is never to be fretted, Ike vexed,
Irritable, or sore. To wonder at nothing that is done to me.
It is to be at rest when nobody praise me. When I am blamed or
Dispossessed, it is to have a blessed home in myself where
I can go in and shut the door, and pray to my father in
    Secret and be at peace…
As in a deep sea of calmness…
When all around me is seeming trouble.”
Oh God, how I yearn for such serenity!
    Love to all

It’s a balancing act for me. If I go to AA meetings too much then I lose my balance. On the other hand, not hitting enough meetings isn’t good for me either.
