Higher Power

January 27, 2016 by Kayce L.

There is no point in living a frantic existence. Charging through life like the house is on fire exhausts us and gets us nowhere. In the long run, no amount of manipulation on our part will change a situation. When we let go and allow ourselves access to a Higher Power, we will discover the best way to proceed. We need to let go and let our Higher Power guide our lives.

That is so true I left my daughter to God because I know she never coming from New Mexico so I have faith in God and now I feel ok because life goes on but in my heart I will always love her because she is daughter and a father love never dies.!!!!!!

I have definitely been trying to manipulate situations at work into my liking. For this past year in sobriety I have been so angry and frustrated that I haven’t gotten my way.

So just yesterday, (after a lot of prayer) I talked to my boss and asked to demote. No amount of stress is worth my physical and emotional sobriety. It was a heavy blow to my pride, but I have to just get out of the way. Go with the flow instead of against it. Thy will be done, not mine.

Working on acceptance and humility to see my raging mind for what it is and to slow myself down. –stop the incessant story telling in my mind working myself into an anxious frustrated not even if I’m just sitting by myself. I’m working on another 24. Grateful for you all. John R–Alaska Bush
